So what does being a Race Marshal really involve? To give you a bit of an idea we asked some of our Race Marshals to tell us why and how they got involved in Flag Marshaling or to give an overview of a typical day flagging at an event......just click on each of their names to find out more.
Rick is the current Club President and has been a member of Race Marshals Victoria for longer than he can remember and when he isn't Marshaling he likes to be racing around the track at Historic events. Here Rick gives a bit of insight into a typical day flagging at an event.
Alison's club nickname is "Mum", not because she has been involved in Motorcycle Racing for almost 20 years but because she has been a great coach to many of our new members when they started out. Alison was profiled by Motorcycling Victoria as part of their Female Participation case studies.
Gavin is a bit of a character as you will be able to tell from reading his story on why he became a Flag Marshal. Whilst Gavin's story is a bit "tongue in cheek" he is a top-notch Flag Marshal which is why he was our Club-person of the Year for 2014.
